Bigg Boss 14 contestant Jaan Kumar Sanu won hearts on the show, and was evicted last week. During his stint on the reality show, Jaan opened up about his parents’ separation and said that his mother Rita Bhattachary raised him single-handedly. In a recent interview with the Times Of India, Jaan also mentioned that his father Kumar Sanu refused to keep in touch, and has never been a part of his life. While speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Kumar Sani said that there were disturbances in his personal life back then. He mentioned that he separated in 1994, after which the divorce was finalized with a proper divorce decree. "There was some disturbance in my personal life at one time. I won't say much about my personal life. The only thing I would say is that I got separated in 1994 and after that we got legally divorced. After that in 2001 March, I got married to Saloni at the Bandra Civil Court," he said.
He further added that they lost their first child to miscarriage, and that they always wanted a girl child. So after the miscarriage, they adopted a girl and named her Shannon, who was initially named Sana. He also added that Shannon is very lucky for him, and in 2004, Saloni and he had their own kid Anna.
Meanwhile, Jaan Kumar Sanu, in an interview with Times Of India, said that there are many celebs who got divorced and remarried, yet they shave never shied away from supporting their kids from the first marriage. “They have always taken responsibility for their children. But, in my case, my father Kumar Sanu refused to keep in touch with us,” he said.
